Maison Bollinger celebrates its 40th anniversary of partnership with Her Majesty’s famous secret agent 007 by launching two wines: a magnum named Moonraker, and a gift box inspired by the film No Time To Die.
Since 1979, and the release of the film Moonraker, James Bond has consumed only Bollinger. To celebrate this 40th anniversary of the partnership, the famous Champagne House Bollinger is marketing two wines: one a magnum inspired by that film, and the other in a gift box suggested by the latest Bond franchise opus, No Time To Die, which will be released in 2020.
For the first wine, Bollinger Tribute to Moonraker Luxury Limited Edition, Bollinger asked designer Eric Berthes to reinvent the spacecraft used in the film. The shuttle is made from a tin and wood veneer box that opens to reveal a Saint-Louis crystal ice bucket and a 2007 Bollinger magnum. Each gift box is individually numbered and only 407 shuttles will be produced. The prize will be £4,500 (€5,000).
The second wine is the Bollinger 007 Limited Edition Millésimé 2011, which pays tribute to the James Bond franchise’s 25th film, No Time To Die. The black bottle is decorated with the number 25, for the number of Bond films, engraved on the glass and on the front of the wooden window. This champagne is entirely made from the Pinot Noir grape variety from Aÿ. The wine has been on the market since 5 October, James Bond Day, at a price of around £150 (€170).
