The Onclin family joins forces with a Dutch businessman to expand Branas Grand Poujeaux

A part of Château Branas Grand Poujeaux‘s capital, a 12-hectare property in the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, has been bought by Hindrik Gommer, variously a Dutch businessman, wine lover, former shareholder of Château Richelieu in Fronsac, and francophile.

The domain was previously owned by Justin Onclin and his family. Onclin owned Château Villemaurine in Saint-Émilion, and will retain a part of the capital in Château Branas Grand Poujeaux.

Together, Mr Gommer and Mr Onclin will expand Branas Grand Poujeaux by adding 5.2 hectares of vines bought to Château Granins Grand Poujeaux, situated on the plateau of Grand Poujeaux. This will increase the area of Branas Grand Poujeaux to more than 17 hectares.

Arjen Pen, a winegrower in France and Australia, and a former manager and shareholder of Château Richelieu in Fronsac, is the new manager and a shareholder.
