After taking over control of Champagne Taittinger in 2006 and according to the schedule he had set for himself at the time, Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger decided to entrust the future of the family business to the next generation.
Vitalie Taittinger will become President of Champagne Taittinger following her father whose term of office will end on 31 December 2019. Aged 40 and working for 12 years in the company, she is currently Director of Marketing and Communication. She will assume her mission surrounded by Damien le Sueur (Chief Executive Officer) and her brother Clovis Taittinger (who will be promoted to Chief Executive Officer), the current Management Committee and all the House’s employees.
In the continuity of his commitment alongside Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger, Damien le Sueur will ensure, alongside Vitalie and Clovis, the function of “control tower”, ensuring a balance between the vineyard, supplies, production, trade and finance. Clovis Taittinger will be in charge of the sales and marketing department. Through this new governance, Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger renews the guarantee of a family commitment to qualitative excellence. The absolute respect given to time, the land and people will remain at the heart of wine making.
Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger: “I have devoted more than 45 years of my life to Champagne and to the House that bears our name and history. These last thirteen years have undoubtedly been the most sparkling, the most exciting years of my career at Taittinger. I have served by all means the quality of our wines, whose consistency is a real joy for me. The results are beyond that
of all hope and never has Taittinger been so “Champagne”, faithful to all the values I like to defend. I pass on the witness with a sense of accomplishment: a passionate team in whom I have complete confidence, very fine wines, a large and growing number of fans of our brand in more than 140 countries around the world. Taittinger retains real potential
More than ever, it represents the authenticity and excellence of our culture and heritage. »
Vitalie Taittinger: “My Father, through his passion, his limitless commitment, has rebuilt in thirteen years a strong company at the service of a very beautiful heritage and human project. We owe it our independence, which is so important for the identity of the company. Thanks to him and the work of all, Taittinger has grown considerably with an ever-increasing demand for the
quality of our wines, the preservation of our environment, the respect of our collaborators and our customers… with always this touch of impertinence and audacity, the same one that led us to plant vines in Kent! Around Damien le Sueur, my brother Clovis and all our teams, we will continue on this path. I am honored by the trust that is placed in me
granted and wishes to see our House shine in its daily life, for our employees, customers and partners. »
